The Whistler Imperial Stout Cask Finish 43% 70cl
The Whistler Imperial Stout Cask Finish Batch 003 is a delicious collaboration between Boann Distillery and Lough Gill Brewing Co. The team filled a number of the finest Sherry Casks with Lough Gill’s Imperial Stout, imparting its rich, chocolatey malt tones into the wood. The casks were then refilled casks with their signature blend of Irish wheat, malt and grain whiskeys which bestow deeper characters of roasted coffee, dried fruits and cocoa nibs.
Bottler's tasting note:
Nose: Opens up with bright fresh lemons followed by cocoa nibs.
Palate: Rich and oily mouthfeel with notes of lemon rind and florals at the start followed by a wave of coffee and subtle hints of smoke.
Finish: Long finish with cracked black pepper.
