The Speyside distillery is known for its rich, muscular single malts – a characteristic largely due to its worm tub condensers – and this expression is very much consistent with this. Aged in a single sherry butt, it sees the dark fruit and unctuous Christmas cake notes from the cask paired with the meaty, earthy undertones from the spirit. A triumph.
