The “Double Ageing” Process

One of Dewar’s defining innovations is its double ageing technique. After individual single malts and grain whiskies are matured separately and blended, the blend is returned to oak casks for an additional period of marrying. This extra step, which can last up to six months, allows flavours to integrate more harmoniously, producing a smoother, richer whisky.

The Dewar’s style is smooth, honeyed, and balanced, underpinned by Aberfeldy’s malt sweetness. Expect aromas of heather honey, orchard fruit, and light floral notes, followed by a palate of vanilla, soft spice, and gentle oak.
