Renowned independent bottler Thompson Bros returns with another cracker of a whisky: this time it’s a 10-year-old Tullibardine single malt! This one is especially unusual because its full maturation has taken place in red wine barriques. The results are big and bold, with tart berries on the nose, citrus with a smattering of mint on the palate, and a dry, tannic finish with cinnamon and clove. Delicious stuff.
