Gorgeous single malt whisky here from the Spring Bay distillery, located on Tasmania’s east coast. The maker was founded by Cam and Suzy Brett back in 2015, and since then they’ve been busy working with local barley to craft their round, relaxed whiskies. This Tawny Port Cask expression is bright, vibrant and wonderfully rich, 

Tasting notes from Spring Bay:

Nose: Sweet and complex aromas suggest butterscotch and Christmas muscatels.

Palate: Sweet caramel syrup and plum pudding spices join a clean, bright alcohol explosion which spreads across the palate to settle in and glow with some soft oaky tannins and leather.

Finish: Hints of cherry cordial and some nutty undertones that clearly displays the quality of both the spirit and the wood in developing harmony.
