Hazelburn 12 Year Old Oloroso Cask 49.9%
The much-anticipated Hazeburn sherry cask release is here! It’s a well-aged 12 year old expression matured solely in Oloroso casks. The earthy, nutty, dark fruit notes pair beautifully with the ethereal sea salt-esque Hazelburn character. A beautiful expression, and one to savour.
Tasting note:
Nose: The dram opens with plums, dried apricots, raisins and a dusty earthiness in with nutmeg and a sea breeze.
Palate: Thick and mouth-filling, there’s sticky toffee pudding, vanilla custard and a subtle pine note, in with a zip of ginger.
Finish: Long and lingering with an earthy liquorice.
