Tasting Notes from Whisky Sponge:
Nose: densely fruity, with layers of vanilla sponge and soft wood spice coming from the cask. That is well balanced by waxes, herbaceous notes and hints of mean and honey.
Palate: superbly thick, sweet and syrupy, immediately delicious and satisfying whisky that is also very fun. Great waxy texture with notes of mango, lychee and then sandalwood and mineral oil.
Finish: long, juicy and peppery, with some exotic fruit teas and further waxes.
