This extraordinary single grain shares Milroy's birth year vintage: 1964! It’s one of the earliest casks to be filled at Lowland grain distillery, Girvan. The tiny blood tub cask offers a remarkably rich flavour profile for grain whisky, and just 23 bottles will be released.

Sumptuous and inviting, with a surprisingly energetic zip of caramelised fruits served on banana bread. Milk chocolate-coated raisins and almonds build the sweetness, ahead of espresso, butterscotch, and a touch of sun-baked earthiness. A smattering of sage and oregano contribute complexity.
The sweetness becomes incredibly elegant and increasingly floral – there’s a touch of rose and geranium in with jammy berry and nougat notes. Amid the soft, creamy texture, coffee and dark chocolate elements evolve into an oakiness, while cinnamon, nutmeg and fresh vanilla pods bring depth. Beautifully intricate and well-integrated.
