Foursquare 12 Year Old TBRC Batch 7 Cinema Series 

It’s more unusual to see independently bottled rum than whisky, and here we have a prime example from Foursquare Distillery, part of That Boutique-y Rum Company’s Cinema Series. Inspired by the film Independence Day, this 12 year old release is made using both pot and column distilled rums. It was matured in an ex-bourbon cask in Barbados for five years, before being re-racked into ex-sauternes cask in the UK for the rest of its maturation. 

TBRC tasting note:

Nose: Lots of dried stone fruits; dates and sultanas, with a lovely jammy sweetness. Creamy toffee.

Palate: Super soft onto the palate and packed with a sweet fruitiness. Gentle ripe peaches and a hint of tart pineapple.

Finish: Long dry finish packed full of oak and delicate baking spices.
