Ben Nevis 11 Year Old 2012 Highland Laird 59.5% 70cl
A powerful single cask Ben Nevis expression here from independent bottler HIghland Laird. Distilled back in 2012, it’s been aged for 11 years in a single ex-bourbon barrel. It was initially destined for export, but a handful of the 312 bottles remain to be shared here. It’s a sumptuous, sweet expression, but with the exacting balance that Ben Nevis is celebrated for.
Tasting notes from Highland Laird:
Nose: Vanilla custard, honeycomb and white chocolate.
Palate: Sweet but full bodied and balanced with an oak maltiness.
Finish: Long with more oak and hints of dry citrus peel.
