A stunning release here from island distillery Arran, independently bottled by the celebrated Woodrow’s of Edinburgh. Distilled back in 1997, this elegant single malt has spent over 28 years in a refill sherry hogshead – that the Woodrow’s team charmingly describe as “time-worn”. There are lovely butterscotch notes here, along with peaches, Victoria sponge cake and tobacco leaf. Just 222 bottles will ever be released at natural colour and without chill-filtration.
