Waterford Lacken 1.1 50% 70cl

Part of the Arcadian series of whiskeys from Ireland’s celebrated Waterford distillery, this is a peated single malt made using barley grown at Lacken Farm. Aged in ex-Bourbon, new oak, Port, Marsala wood and French oak, the expression packs in a load of flavour while keeping the character of the grain front and centre. A dram that’s complex, bold, and fascinating in equal measure.

Nose: high toned, vibrant, fresh smoke, brine, oyster shells, barley sugar, orchard fruits, soft apples, pear skins, warm hay

Palate: full-bodied, oily, unctuous, grist, driftwood, campfire, creosote, sheeps wool, lapsang souchong tea, juiciness, white peach, apple sauce

Finish: tar, green tea, cigar tobaccos
