Tamnavulin 12 Year Old Tri Carragh 56.8% 70cl

Tamnavulin is a Speyside maker celebrated for its rich, smooth character – and it stays true to form with this release from independent bottler Tri Carragh. Distilled back in 2011, it was aged in a first-fill sherry hogshead, before being reracked into an ex-Pedro Ximénez cask in July 2023. After nine months, it was bottled at a hearty 56.8% ABV. Like biting into a chocolate ganache, this expression offers sweetness, a creamy texture and some light tannins to stop it getting cloying. Luxurious indeed.
