Michter's 10 Year Old Straight Bourbon 47.2% ABV

Always a delight to drink, Michter’s 10 Year Old bourbon is a single barrel release from Michter’s, the Louisville-based distillery. It’s a classic for a reason – it’s won multitudes of awards, and is celebrated as a top example of what bourbon should be. ‘Straight’ is simply an age statement term that means a whiskey has been aged for at least two years – not in question here, as this expression has spent over a decade in new white American oak.

Tasting note:

Nose: Round and bold, there notes of milk chocolate, coconut, marmalade on toast, and a Mr Whippy vanilla ice cream cone.

Palate: Sweet spices come to the fore of this mouth-coating whisky, along with toffee apple, black cherries, peppercorns and dried orange peels.

Finish: Medium to long with lingering cinnamon.
