The site itself is established on Lochlea Farm which was once the home of Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns.
This whisky gets its phenolic smokiness from the ex-Islay barrels the liquid is matured in. A twist on the classic Lochlea flavour profile.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Ripe fruits, vanilla bean and hints of cinnamon.
Palate: orchard fruits, barley, liquorice and a hint of peat smoke.
Finish: lingering sweet smoke.
