Glenburgie 28 Year Old 1995 Whisky Blues 58.5% 70cl
A gorgeously aged Glenburgie single malt here, courtesy of independent bottler Whisky Age. Part of its Whisky Blues collection, it started life at the Speyside distillery back in 1995, spending its full maturation in a hogshead before being bottled in 2023. Lush and bright, it’s awash with tropical fruit, floral and even tea notes. A beautifully elegant whisky, with just 210 bottles ever being released.
Official tasting notes:
Nose: bright citrus fruit aroma, pears, plums, a hint of melon sweetness, malt, honey syrup, floral notes, nuts, creamy chocolate, vanilla, wood, jasmine green tea, and spices.
Palate: juicy and smooth. Melon, citrus, plums, sweet and sour white grapes, malt, nectar, nuts, wood, nutmeg, and spices.
Finish: medium to long. A hint of passion fruits, citrus, herbal tea, nectar, pollen, cream, vanilla, wood, nutmeg, and spices.
