Part of our Vintage Reserve collection of extraordinary spirits, this is a 45-year-old masterpiece from an undisclosed Cuban rum distillery. It was distilled in 1978, and is a breathtakingly sophisticated expression. It undertook four long decades of intense tropical maturation in American oak, imparting a profound richness and deep natural colour. It was then transported for bottling in Scotland as part of our 60th anniversary celebrations. Bold, unctuous and brimming with cola cube sweetness and sticky toffee pudding notes, this is as decadent as rum gets.

Tasting note:

Nose: Molasses, ginger cake, treacle tart, sponge and custard, cinnamon, clove, dates, milk chocolate,

Palate: Cola, leather, crystalised ginger, fruit and nut chocolate, creme caramel, vanilla buttercream.

Finish: Long and meandering, with more of those sweet spice and leather notes.
