Ardnamurchan 5 Year Old 2018 Adelphi #1059/1263 58% 70cl
A fun, boisterous Ardnamurchan bottling from the distillery’s parent company (and indie bottler) Adelphi. Distilled in 2018, it’s a youthful, exuberant five-year-old that was drawn from two different first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. A total of 1,403 bottles were released without chill-filtration and at natural colour. It has both peated and unpeated components meaning that the smoke doesn’t shout. Instead the sherry influence really shines through. A fascinating release indeed.
