Distilled in 1978 this extremely rare vintage singe malt from the Bunnahabhain distillery.

Finished in PX sherry casks this dram has style quality and taste.

Nose: Fruity with a touch of red apple, some berries and vanilla, tasty oak aromas with a little salt water taffy.

Palate: Warming smooth and very fruity on the front of the palate, some sweet spices and hints of a summer on the beach, toasted marshmallow, sweet BBQ fruit embers, toffee and hints of spiced toffee apple crisp.

Finish: A lot of subtle Islay notes are mixed in here but nothing overwhelms the quality of the whisky as we head into the finish of Damson and dates with a hint of cocoa and honey linger in this satisfying finish that seems to grow and grow leading you to just one more sip.
